Overview

Dr Wetton does perform simple skin excisions, like removal of moles, cysts and other skin lesions. She usually does this in the rooms and either closes the incision with a few tiny stitches, or removes the lesion as a shave, for a minimal scar.

What to expect

The aim is to make the scar as small and as inconspicuous as possible, however we do know that all cuts to the skin will form a scar. Dr Wetton will go through as scar protocol with you to advise you of all the specifics that you can do after your procedure to improve the appearance of the final scar.

For the face usually at 5-7 days, for the body usually at 10-14 days
Will I have much pain?
Dr Wetton will give you a local anaesthetic injection, so you should not have much pain at all.
