Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have any sized implant that I desire?
If you are completely flat chested and you do not have much available excess skin on your chest, it is physically possible to stretch the skin to a certain degree, to accommodate an implant, but there reaches a point where the skin is stretched to its maximum. We are dictated as to what size can be placed into your breast pocket by your specific anatomy, such as the amount of available skin and where your nipple is currently placed.
Which implants are better, round or tear-drop?
Neither is better or worse, it just depends on what aesthetic you desire. If you wish to have a fuller upper breast, round implants may be your first choice, but it is also important to look at your anatomy and take some measurements before deciding which shape would look better in your particular case.
I have some breast sag, but I do not want a breast lift, can I have an implant to lift the breast?
Breast implants cannot be used to lift excessively droopy tissues, the result will not be aesthetically pleasing if this is attempted. Please discuss your options and likely result with Dr Wetton at your consultation.
