Skin tightening and lifting is achieved by Focused Thermal Ablation using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) waves to create thermal lesions in the deep dermal and the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) Layers. This thermal injury then stimulates the growth of new collagen and elastin fibres which lifts and tightens the skin, naturally. Results continue to improve for up to 6 months after treatment.
In a 60-minute appointment (with exact duration depending on treatment areas), we use a HIFU device to deliver thermal energy to your skin, penetrating deep into the foundational layers to trigger a natural healing response. We can precisely target desired treatment areas and adjust the depth and intensity depending on your needs and concerns. Treatments are generally pain free; a vibration can be felt over bony areas but this is well tolerated. Expect very minimal downtime as makeup can be immediately applied and normal activities can be resumed post- treatment.
HIFU delivers controlled heat deep into the skin’s layers to cause a thermal reaction that stimulates collagen production and leads to the contraction of existing collagen fibres. This helps improve skin tone, texture and elasticity.
Additionally, the healing effects of RF energy can promote circulation and delivery of nutrients.
What treatments are considered complementary?
We recommend pairing The Dalia Tighten with LED therapy for optimal results.
How soon after will I see results?
Results vary from person to person but many visibly notice and feel a tightening of the treatment area after a few weeks post-treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
This will depend on your skin type, concerns and goals. In your cosmetic consultation, we will gain a better understanding of your skin and be able to give you an idea of how many sessions you’ll need. Generally, we recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 months to 1 year.
